The WCO-EU HS and Rules of Origin Africa Programmes have released their 2024 Annual Reports, marking another year of impactful support for African customs modernisation and trade integration. These reports reflect the Programmes’ broad reach, technical depth, and commitment to enhancing intra-African trade under the AfCFTA.

With over 100 combined activities delivered across the continent, including digitalisation initiatives, electronic tariff platform rollouts, and origin certification reforms, the Programmes continue to play a pivotal role in strengthening customs capacity and trade facilitation. As the HS Africa Programme approaches its final phase, and the RoO Programme outlines its 2025 roadmap, African Customs administrations and RECs are encouraged to continue engaging with these transformative initiatives.
