The action aims to support a wide range of stakeholders in Africa in their efforts to ensure a coordinated implementation and uniform application of one of the most fundamental global trade facilitation instruments – the Harmonized System Convention of the WCO.

The HS-Africa Programme has been designed to benefit all the 54 African Customs administrations, as well as organizations covering the whole of Africa, in particular, the African Union Commission and the AfCFTA Secretariat. It works closely with African Regional Economic Communities, relevant government agencies that play a role in the implementation of the HS, as well as private sector stakeholders.
