The WCO East and Southern Africa Regional Private Sector Group (RPSG) made substantial progress in 2024, delivering on its workplan across six strategic focus areas: implementation monitoring, communications, AEO expansion, digitalisation, coordinated border management, and policy harmonisation. Through governance meetings, webinars, and regional representation, the RPSG has strengthened its role as a critical voice for the private sector in customs reform and trade facilitation across the ESA region.

This update outlines the RPSG’s 2024 activities, key outcomes, project deliverables, and event participation. It highlights the Group’s commitment to advancing public-private collaboration, supporting regional integration under the AfCFTA and TFTA frameworks, and championing efficient, inclusive, and harmonised cross-border trade throughout the region.
